Trade Show Display Tips

When you are organizing your trade show display, there are several tips you must follow in order to have a successful appearance. At trade shows, presentation is everything. Since you will most likely be competing with several hundred other vendors, you will need to make sure you market your display correctly and professionally. You will notice that the displays which receive the most attention are those that have spent time and careful consideration before ever designing their display booth. This is because, with so many various vendors, it takes time to organize a trade show display marketing plan that will not only draw the attention of trade show attendees, but also will intrigue them enough to potentially become a customer.

Whether you are marketing a product or a service, they are only as good as your display. It doesn’t matter if you have the world’s greatest product, if your trade show display is not correctly marketed and organized, than you will see limited amounts of traffic. The first tip to organizing your trade show display is to ensure you keep the display streamlined, focused, and neat. When using table top displays, make sure they are situated at eye-level for the customer. Post informational signs and also product displays should be placed within the table top displays so the customers are able to have an instant impression of your product.

If your trade show display is messy and disorganized, customers will not visit your display or, if they do visit, they will not stay long. Since there are so many visual distractions for customers at trade shows, you will need to make your information clearly seen and easily comprehended. Customers who have to search for basic information on your product will be quickly turned off and will then move on to the next trade show display booth.

The second rule you must follow when you are organizing your trade show display is to create a sense of demand for your product or service. It’s known that, when a customer believes that a certain product is in high-demand, they will be more likely to become interested in this product. There are several ways you can do this within your trade show display. If you are selling the product directly at the trade show, place a sold sign on an item or two. This will give customers the impression that your product is already selling well and they will become more interested.

Perhaps one of the most important rules to follow when designing your trade show display is to ensure interactivity. Having brochures and simple signs within your display will not draw-in crowds. In order to gain as much traffic to your display as possible, you will need to set up an interactive display. This does not mean having high-tech electronics explaining the benefits of your product or service, but rather having the product available to be used by the customers.

Raffles and other types of games are a great way to draw in attention and create an excitement about your display. If you have a product that can be used in everyday living, set up various scenarios where customers can try it out. This will show them that it really will increase their quality of living.
